About Robin

Robin is a Dutch recruitment tech startup with a small, energetic, and multicultural team. We believe every company should have an equal opportunity to grow their workforce for making, delivering, and maintaining products, as well as assisting customers. That’s why we’ve built Robin; One single platform to find your workforce, whether you have recruitment experience or not.

Since our start, we won three Recruitment Tech Awards, 200+ customers, and thousands of users. However, that was only the beginning. We aim to help all companies worldwide attract 1.000.000 new employees each year by 2030. If that’s a goal that gets you inspired, continue reading!

Our development team and processes

To achieve our goal, we are looking to expand our development team of 6. We’re looking for experienced software engineers who love to have their voice heard, are proactive, and are eager to learn, to improve our product and their own skills. We believe in a supportive team where we provide honest feedback and take ownership.

The motto of our CTO Roberto is “make it simple, make it agile, make it better”. We do not have an extensive process that will require 3-4 approvals before starting your development. We do not have a lot of meetings, we like to focus on what matters.

The tech stack

We use microservice architecture with services built-in python (Django) and NodeJS. We have our data in Postgresql, ElasticSearch, and MongoDB.

We use GCloud and Azure. Why both? Because there are benefits and incentives to using both of them. We have not yet decided which we will go all-in on or even if going all-in is the way to go (maybe that’s something you want to help us with?).

Our frontend is isolated and written in TypeScript/Javascript using open-source tools like React and Node.js.

  • Test-Driven Development (TDD): Applying TDD methodologies to ensure reliability and performance of applications.
  • Documentation: Writing clear, concise, and comprehensive documentation to support development efforts and future maintenance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Acting as the main point of contact for product teams, third-party providers, and clients throughout the integration process. Managing expectations, addressing concerns, and clarifying requirements with a proactive and positive approach.
  • Continuous Improvement: Staying abreast of the latest industry trends and technologies, recommending and implementing innovative solutions to drive efficiency and performance.
